Al Madeena Girls’ PU College Launches Diverse Student Clubs

MANJANADY, JULY 9: Al Madeena Girls’ Pre-University College officially inaugurated a range of student clubs for the upcoming 2025-26 academic year on Wednesday, a move aimed at enriching extracurricular engagement and fostering holistic development among its students.

The inaugural ceremony, held at the college premises, was presided over by Mr. Abdul Khader Saqafi General Secretary of Al Madeena Institution. In his keynote address, Mr. Saqafi emphasized the importance of diverse learning experiences beyond traditional academics, highlighting how such initiatives contribute to a student’s overall personality development.

The clubs were formally inaugurated by Mr. Mohammed Kunhi Amjadi, Executive Director of Al Madeena, marking a new chapter in student life at the esteemed institution.
Prominent speakers at the event included Mr. Abooswali Azhari, Academic Director; renowned writer Mr. Abdurrazzak Navoor; and lecturer Mr. Muneer Saqafi Al Kamil.
Their addresses underscored the benefits of club activities in fostering leadership, teamwork, and various life skills. Also present were Mr. Mansoor Himami, Headmaster of Al Madeena English Medium, and Mr. Hafiz Shamsuddeen Naeemi, Sharia lecturer, who lent their support to the initiative.

Following the formal inauguration, a dedicated session was held to unveil the distinct names and logos of the newly formed clubs. This segment was attended by the college Principal, Mrs. Sangeetha, and several lecturers including Mrs. Chethana, Mrs. Sushma, Kumari Akshatha, Kumari Divya, Mrs. Mokshitha, and Ms. Dilshana Banu, showcasing the faculty’s strong commitment and support for student-led initiatives.

Student leaders were also appointed to steer the activities of each club. Ms. Khadeeja Niha was named General Secretary and Ms. Misriya Joint Secretary of the Eco Club. The Sports Club will be led by Ms. Aisha Sahla as General Secretary and Ms. Faiyza as Joint Secretary, anticipating a boost in athletic pursuits. For the Science Club, Ms. Safiyya was appointed General Secretary, with Ms. Fathima Ifthishama and Ms. Fathima Niha serving as Joint Secretaries, indicating a focus on scientific exploration. The Fine Art & Literature Club saw Ms. Shaima selected as General Secretary and Ms. Hanoon as Joint Secretary, signifying a vibrant future for creative and literary endeavours.
The program commenced with a reverent prayer by student Ms. Nafeesath Sana. Ms. Khadeeja Niha extended a warm welcome to all attendees, setting a cordial tone for the event. The proceedings were smoothly compered by student leader Ms. Fathimath Muneeza, ensuring an engaging flow throughout the ceremony. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Fathimath Shameema, concluding the successful inaugural ceremony.
